CMN La Meridionale is a French ferry operator who run ferries between France, Corsica and Sardinia. CMN was established in 1931 (as Compagnie Méridionale de Navigation), and began operating freight routes, principly petroleum, to Corsica in 1936. In 1998, at the request of the Transport Office of Corsica, CML la Meridionale began passenger services to the island, and increased its services to include ferries to Sardinia a year later. La Meridionale's ferries, the Girolata, Kalliste and Scandola have friendly staff, quality cuisine inspired by Corsica made and from fresh produce, Corsican music, spacious cabins, a cinema, and bars.
