Eurotunnel Le Shuttle
Launched in 1994, the Eurotunnel is an excellent alternative way to take your car to France, using the Channel Tunnel's two double railway tunnels which have been dug beneath the sea bed in the English Channel. Eurotunnel has no fuel surcharges or luggage restrictions, and its services are unaffected by bad weather or high winds. As well as being frequent and reliable, Eurotunnel is also the fastest way across the Channel at just 35 minutes.
Boarding the Eurotunnel shuttle is easy, as you simply drive on to your carriage. You stay with your car for the short journey, either relaxing in your seats or getting out for a stroll around the carriage. At either end there are also terminal buildings, full of facilities and plenty of shops and places to eat.
Pets on board the Eurotunnel
You can book your cat or dog on board the Eurotunnel with Ferrysavers.co.uk. Note that when returning to the UK pets are required to go to the Pet Control Building at the French terminal and that to take your pet to and from the UK to mainland Europe (excluding Ireland) you will need a pet passport.
