About Fantasea Cruising Magnetic
Fantasea Cruising Magnetic has been in business for the past 22 years. It is part of The Riverside Marine Group founded in 1926. Fantasea Cruising Magnetic was originally purchased by Riverside Marine under the trading name Capricorn Barge Company Pty Ltd in 1990. It is a significant contibutor into Magnetic Island tourism. The company provides drive on drive off and walk on passenger services as well as transportation of all essential supplies for the island such as food, fuel, gas and construction materials etc.
From Australia - head 'overseas' to Magnetic Island
You have to fly to Townsville. There are regular flights from major cities daily. From there it's a short ferry ride to the island. Greyhound bus will drop you right at the passenger ferry terminal. Magnetic is a rocky island, 8km offshore. You can get there via a 20 minute passenger ferry ride or bring your own car; it is approximately 40 minutes crossing on the vehicle ferry.
