LD Lines run a passenger service between Portsmouth and Le Havre.

In September 2005, following the closure of the Portsmouth Le Havre service run by P&O Ferries, it was announced that a new service run by Louis Dreyfus Lines (a subsidiary of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs SAS) would operate the route under the name LD Lines. LD Lines have recently introduced a new summer-only route, Newhaven - Le Havre. The new LD Lines ferry service will have daily departures between May-September; departing from the port of Newhaven at 12:30 and returning from Le Havre at 20:00. Aboard the LD Lines ferry, you can choose from private cabins, Club Class reclining seats or standard reclining seats.
