    Pleasant crossing on the Tanit
    • Staff were cordial. Simple but good food in self-serve restaurant. A la carte restaurant too pricey. Cabin was roomy enough and bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. Had a nice trip!

Not as good as it once was.
    • Nearly impossible to find a bar or cafe serving coffee that was open. Lifts not working. Doors to car deck 4 jammed and two staff members simply shrugged and went their way, so drivers had to find alternate route to get to vehicles. Car deck packed WAY too tight, almost impossible to walk between vehicles and those with baggage were in real distress. WORST of all, an eight-hour delay in embarking- not at 12 noon but after 8 pm- due to engine trouble. I understand these things happen but NO form of compensation was offered to the irate and inconvenienced passengers, and there were numerous fist-fights at the port due to the frustratingly long delay. Free coffee on board would have been SOMETHING. On balance, it's a clean ship with generally nice staff, but a badly-run company these days.

    Plaudits to CTN!
    • Easy and quick check-in, ship clean and cabin comfortable. Sadly, not much variation in meals served at self-service restaurant, but one can't expect everything to be five-star. CTN is a good ferry company. Try one of the Italian lines if in doubt. Enjoyed my crossing and will be back again.
