Thames Clippers is the leading provider of commuter passenger services on the River Thames, operating a fast and frequent boat service from 6am until past midnight every 20 minutes between Central London at Savoy Pier, through Canary Wharf and on to Greenwich and now beyond to Woolwich.
The company was founded in 1999 by Sean Collins (MD) and Alan Woods (Chairman), who have spent their careers working on the River Thames and who saw the opportunity to build a professionally run, high-speed passenger ferry service. The Company started with a single vessel carrying less than 1,500 passengers a week, and now runs a fleet of 7 fast, high-quality vessels, with the capacity to carry well in excess of 20,000 passengers per week.
As well as their scheduled commuter and tourist services, Thames Clippers boats are available for private charter and can be used for a range of events such as champagne receptions, product launches and filming as well as fast river transfers for parties or corporate events.
