Uig ferry port is in the village of Uig (Norse for `sheltered bay') in northern Isle of Skye in the Hebrides. The port is small and has limited facilities; however it is close to the actual village of Uig so you needn't go far for all the major amenities. It is easily accessible by road to get to all other places on the Isle of Skye and if you continue down the A87 and A82, you can even drive to Glasgow.

The village of Uig is home to the Fairy Glen, a popular natural attraction where you can rock-climb, cycle or just walk through the picturesque woods that cover most of the village. Near here, you will find a beautiful waterfall that is a perfect photo opportunity. Other than here, you can go fishing out in the sea with hired fishing boat and eat your catch at the end of the day! In the middle of the city, you will find several places selling traditional Uig pottery which is very pretty and a perfect souvenir.
