Special Offers

Visemar Line offer a new freight and passenger ferry service which aims to develop travel and export traffic between Italy and the eastern Mediterranean. This is part of the EU `Motorway of the Seas' initiative, and hopes to also encourage the fruit and vegetable trade between Italy and Egypt. Visemar Line is a partnership between the Venetian companies Visentini, a leading ferry shipbuilder, and Tositti, who work in the shipping industry.

The route is served by the brand-new ferry Visemar One, which was built by Visentini and can carry 200 trucks, 80 cars and up to 400 passengers in great comfort. The Visemar One will make the journey from Venice to Alexandria in 60, and from Venice to Tartus in 68 hours. If the route proves succesful, Visemar Line hope to add a second ferry later by the end of the year, doubling its capacity.
