Barcelona Information
Barcelona's ferry port is one of the largest and most important in the Mediterranean, with many ferries departing every day as well as regular cruise ship arrivals. The ports is located right in the heart of the city near Las Ramblas and many of the favourite tourist destinations.
A truly global location, Barcelona is the 2nd largest city in Spain and capital of Catalonia. It is located in the "comarca" of Barcelonès, along the Mediterranean coast. Barcelona is an economic, financial and cultural centre, and a destination famous for its electric nightlife, shopping, beaches, cuisine, football and parks. Thanks to its wonderful climate and these many cultural offerings, Barcelona is perennially one of the most popular destinations in Europe.
Barcelona is also rightly renowned for its unique contemporary architecture and the iconic works of the architect Antoni Gaudí. His most famous work is the huge (yet unfinished) temple of the Sagrada Família, billed for completion in 2026. Other examples of his work are the Palau Güell, the Park Güell, the Casa Milà (La Pedrera) and the Casa Batlló. Barcelona is home to many beautiful parks and beaches, an array of museums, galleries and music venues and countless restaurants, as well as Las Ramblas, the most lively street in the city and the many fascinating side streets leading from it.
Ciutadella Information
Ciutadella ferry port is located on the western side of the island of Minorca, also known as Menorca. Originally founded by the Carthaginians, Ciutadella and its ferry port have a long history and has retained many beautiful 17th century buildings built in the Italian style and Ciutadella old town is definitely worth a visit.
Ciudadella ferry port is very picturesque, surrounded by beautiful white sand beaches and turquoise-blue water, and ideal starting point for visiting the charming Balearic isle of Minorca.
