Poole is located on the south coast of England, and is 20 miles to the east of Dorchester. Bournemouth is adjoined to Poole on its eastern edge increasing the town's already large number of beaches and attractions. Poole's most visited attractions are located close to the Ferry port with the quayside being the most popular, with many grade I and II listed buildings and traditional public houses to explore, as well as offering visitors short cruises around the harbour and to Brownsea island near the harbours mouth.

09 Dec 2019Good quality for a fair price

Overall I would rate the service as excellent, one small observation was the cost of drinks and coffees thought these could be cheaper.

23 Sep 2019Cash only in the restaurant and poor service fro Ferrysvers.
-
The ferry was fine and the journey was on calm water. No issues with loading or unloading (except the huge queue at Poole). But there were issues at the restaurant. There was a shortage of availability of about a third of the limited menu. There was supposed to be a two course meal deal, but they tried to charge full price. Then they won't accept a credit card payment, but they do in the shop! When you get to eat the meal it is average quality. Finally, we booked through Ferrysavers. There were changes to the sailing schedule but Ferrysavers didn't tell us, we found out from a friend who had booked directly with Brittany Ferries. It is hard to contact Ferrysavers but fortunately Brittany Ferries altered our bookings but then later Ferrysavers sent us confirmation of the original sailings that no longer existed! Finally whilst we were away they did contact us to advise of the revised timetable when it would have been too late to alter our programme had we not been fore warned.

17 Aug 2019I could do better
-
It was a busy crossing. Despite being first at the port we waited ages to load and were one of the last ones on. Is there not a priority boarding option , I could not find one on line Sat in the cafe as lounge seats were all reserved Food mediocre, not much choice The real disappointment came when it was announced we were going to be 50 mins late to dock and when disembarked it took us 1 hour to clear border control. I had a 300 mile journey to make , late at night in dreadful weather. Never again
