Red Funnel's ferries are the newest serving the island and operate 24 hours a day, 364 days a year between their well established route of Southampton and East Cowes, the home of world yacht racing.
Red Funnel operate the biggest car ferries to the Isle of Wight, with their 3 Raptor class ships, which take 55 minutes to cross the Solent, and also 3 high-speed catamarans, which make the journey in just 23 minutes, Red Jet 3, Red Jet 4, and Red Jet 5 (which was launched in July 2009). Onboard there's hot and cold meals, coffee and cakes, as well as a bar and free wi-fi access. |
