Amorgos is the easternmost of the Cyclades Islands, and is described by tourists as both charming and obscure. Amorgos has 2 ports, Aegiali in the north, and Katapola to the south, and both are in easy travelling distance of all the main resorts and towns.
The main attraction on the island has to the spectacular monastery of Panagia Chozoviotissa, just northeast of the Chora, which is an incredible site and a perfect opportunity to take photos of the amazing view, and the Aghia Anna beach below it with clear azure waters. Up in the hills are some excellent hiking trails, where you can trek through tiny, traditional villages and experience a taste of the real Cycladean lifestyle. Not to forget the ancient site of Minoa, popular with visitors and locals alike.
