About Explore New Zealand
In the early days getting to New Zealand was as much of an adventure as the experience when you arrived. Luckily, it's very different today. getting to New Zealand can't be easier these days. With the choice of various international flights you can easily get to Auckland, New Zealand's largest city located near the top of the North Island. Domestic services connect Auckland airport with smaller airports throughout the country and cruising is another popular way to get to and around New Zealand, explore the beauty of the country.
On board Explore New Zealand Ferries
The Explore New Zealand ferries are modern and very comfortable. On board you can find tea and coffee facilities, if you require something more sufficient - there is a cafe/restaurant where you can find good quality food plus a selection of New Zealand's beer and wine. The bathroom facilities are also available. There is no currently internet available on-board of Explore.

Travelling by ferry with your pet
Pets and guide dogs may be permitted to travel free of charge on our service to Waiheke at the discretion of the Skipper. Please advise at time of booking. Dogs and other small pets must at all times be kept on a lead or in an appropriate carry cage, and be under the control of the owner who must follow the instructions of the crew.
Pets are not allowed inside the vessel lower cabin unless in appropriate carry cages. Pets are allowed under control on leash in the upper cabin. Failure to follow instructions will mean the dog or pet will not be allowed to travel. Owners will be required to clean up any mess that their pets create.
