Found on the northern coast of Denmark's Jutland Peninsula, Hirtshals has developed into a major fishing and ferry harbour thanks to its access to the North Sea . The port has a direct connection to the E39 motorway and the railway running south through the country and to the rest of Europe. Hirtshals' train station is 500m south of the ferry terminal.

This vibrant, modern town has Jammerbukten bay on one side and Tannis Bukt bay on the other, flanking Hirtshals with beaches that run for more than 40km in both directions. These child-friendly, white sandy beaches are perfect for relaxing in the sun or strolling along in the brisk autumn air. Within Hirtshals is the Den Gronne Plads (The Green Square), which overlooks the fishing harbour and its rows of blue-hulled fishing boats.

    Ferry savers color line
