This stunning island is an incredible place for both families and couples alike. Although not as popular as other big-name Greek islands such as Crete or Corfu, there are so many things to do in Ikaria - trying out the vast range of water sports that these beaches are host to, take a tour and absorb the beauty of the mountains, lush green valleys and classic churches and monuments that are scattered around Ikaria. For the younger generation, the nightlife rivals that of other popular Greek islands, and the many attractive shops hold exciting goods.
If you would like to take a trip out of the main town, you could go wine-tasting in one of the traditional Greek vineyards and sampling some of the best red wines this island has to offer. You could also visit the hot mineral springs in the spa town of Therma, where the waters have said to have healed arthritis, female infertility and rheumatism. Even if you have none of these things, it's still well worth a visit!
