Magnetic Island is a town located on the south-western tip of Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia, about one and a half hours south of Adelaide. It is a short ferry ride from Townsville, approximately half way between Cairns and the Whitsundays/Airlie Beach, within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage listed area - and it's where you'll find a host of hidden treasures! The island has got a total of 23 pristine bays and beaches, although many of these are only accessible by boat.

Magnetic Island National Park is the most visited after the Great Barrier Reef. The island is home to koalas, rock wallabies, brush-tail possums and an abundance of birds. Nearly 70% of Magnetic Island (approx. 5184 hectares) is National Park. There is so much to explore for you in this place.

Fantasea Cruising Magnetic Ferries is one of the Australia's favorite car and passenger ferry. All their ferries feature facilities to make your journey enjoyable. The company offers up to 8 return services daily. Over the busy period of time there will be offered extra services. The sailing takes approximately 40 minutes each way. On a day of travel you are required to arrive at the terminal at least 20 minutes prior to departure.

Changes and cancellations are only permitted if requested prior to the day of scheduled departure. Bookings may be transferred up to the day prior to travel, to another date within 12 months. New bookings will incur an additional cost if the fare has increased since the original booking was made. Changes and cancellations can only be made via ourselves, your agent.

The minimum charge for the amendment/cancellation is £25 in addition to the operator charge:

• Bookings cancelled up to two days prior to travel forfeit 10% of the fare and a refund for the remainder of the fare can be requested in writing.
• Bookings cancelled the day prior to travel forfeit 50% of the fare and a refund for the remainder of the fare can be requested in writing.
• Bookings cancelled on the day of travel forfeit 100% of the fare.

Bear in mind please - children under the age of 13 are not permitted to travel unaccompanied.
