Palau ferry port is principle port for arrivals to the main part of Sardinia from La Maddalena. There are a few amenities, but the port is very close to the main town of Palau anyway.
Palau is a town 220km north of Cagliari and 30km northwest of Olbia. It is full of delicious restaurants serving superb Italian cuisine, and some Sardinian specialities too.
