Phi Phi Terminals
Phi Phi Islands have become one of the main holiday destinations in southern Thailand for good reasons
Tonsai Pier is situated in the center of Tonsai Bay, north of Phi Phi Don. It's the island's main and busiest pier. All the ferries from Phuket, Krabi and Lanta arrive here. It is extremely busy most of the days.
Laemtong Bay is natural bay. There isn't an actual pier here. Both ferries and long tail boats anchor in the bay. Southern Thailand is famous for its wooden long-tail boats, also called Ruea Hang Yao. They are powered by car engines and widely used around irelands.
Laemtong Bay has got an easy access to the great holiday resorts, like: Phi Phi Natural Resort, Zeavola Resort, PP Erawan Resort and the Phi Phi Holiday Inn Resort.
Getting to Phi Phi
The most common way to reach Phi Phi is by boat. Ferries connect daily and regularly Phi Phi Don with Phuket, Krabi and Koh Lanta. The journey to cover the 50 KM between Phuket and Phi Phi takes about two hours. Krabi is a bit closer, just 40 Km away from Phi Phi, so it is faster to travel between the two places. Koh Lanta is just one hour and 30 minutes south.
Getting around Phi Phi
Despite the fast growth, the Phi Phi islands keep a real holiday feeling, no cars or traffic as there are no real roads, on Phi Phi Don everything is within walking distance.
