Portsmouth Information

One of England's busiest and most important ports, Portsmouth ferry port is located on England's southern coastline and thanks to the local bus networks and the road system it is only a short journey from the city's centre. One of the UK's largest and busiest ports, Portsmouth has a host of facilities for passengers, including a café, bar, bureau de change, ATM and 516 space multi-storey car park.

Portsmouth is the only city in England to have been constructed on an island, and the city is also the historic home of the Royal Navy and has the world's oldest, still functioning dry dock. The city's dry docks attract many visitors, as they currently house three British battleships, the most famous of them, the H.M.S Victory. But Portsmouth's attractions do not stop with the dry docks and Naval Centre, its waterfront houses, the Spinnaker tower, a wide range of shops and boutiques as well as many restaurants and cafes for visitors to relax and unwind in.

Ryde Information

Ryde is located on the north east coast of the Isle of Wight and is the second largest urban area on the Island. Ryde's ferry port terminal is located only a short distance from the town centre and its shops and boutiques. The town also features many bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants serving a variety of food and drinks, where visitors can relax and enjoy the town's natural beauty. The town also features a live music venue, theatre, bowling alley and an ice rink. There are excellent travel connections from Ryde allowing you easy access to discover the rest of the beautiful Isle of Wight.

    Good journey
    • Our journey was made easy by the help given to our disabled passenger. Let down by the slow service in the cafe area and lack of acknowledgment that they were slow, no knowledge if foods had dairy products in them either.

Our Crossing to the Isle of Wright
    • Easy to book, good and easy to check in and travel across. decided to try and catch an earlier crossing back very helpful staff in arranging this but had to pay an extra £20 - the only down side to the trip. But otherwise overall an excellent experience.
