The port of Seysdisfjordur is located in a small village in the East fjords of Iceland, in the north-east of the country. It is the gateway to this vast yet unique country in northern Europe for ferries to Iceland. From here, you can also take ferries to Sweden and Denmark.
Seysdisfjordur is near the town of Egilsstadir and has an abundant population of puffins and other marine life. There are characteristic Scandinavian old wooden buildings and several refreshing waterfalls, yet it has a vibrant cultural scene with an arts centre, two cinemas and the Dieter Roth Academy for young artists. Further inland from Seysdisfjordur port are some incredible hiking paths where you can enjoy the unique Icelandic scenery.
