Yarmouth ferry port is located on the north western coast of the Isle of Wight, Yarmouth has an idyllic and tranquil ferry port, which over the years has become popular with yachting enthusiasts and fishermen, the harbour is overlooked by Yarmouth Castle (which is open to visitors) which was built by Henry VIII to protect the Solent from invading forces.

Yarmouth Pier was built in 1876 and is the longest timber pier in England which is still open to the public. The town's square features many wonderful and amazing shops. From the harbour it is possible to take a boat to fish out in the Solent or the Needles, the pier also offers fantastic places to fish and relax.

    Pleasant crossing
    • We arrived 10 minutes early for our booking, and were put on the earlier ferry, which was great. the outward journey was quite pleasant, an relaxing -no stress. the return journey was a bit different, it seemed the ferry was full, and there was a real crush with too many passengers for the seating available. All in all, the ferry service was excellent, but the price of £123 was excessive - far too expensive ( compared to the Jersey ferry for instance )

    Wighty walkers
    • Having arrived early at the port, we managed to travel on the earlier ferry with no problem. Everything went very smoothly.
