The ferry port of Zadar (Zara in Italian) is on the western side of the city and has a few amenities for passengers. Zadar port is close to the centre of the city, and there is a bus service that travels throughout Zadar.
Zadar's main attraction is the Roman Forum that although may not be as big or as popular as the original one in Rome, it is still worth a visit. A few interesting attractions are the Greeting to the Sun and the Sea Organ exhibitions which are unique to the city of Zadar.
The city is also well known for the huge array of activities you can take part in on the island; sailing, diving, rafting, canyon hiking, mountain climbing, jeep driving, caving, paragliding, tennis and volleyball are just a few of the things that you will be able to do if you so wish. Perhaps after a long day's sport you could sit back and enjoy a glass of the famous Maraschino liqueur that is made in Zadar.

Checkin is a performance - you have to go by free bus shuttle to checkin that opens at 4pm then back to dock - immigrations opens 1 hr before and no separate lines for ships so its a bit of a mess - once on board the staff are very nice and friendly - I had a cabin with bathroom and had all meals included - dinner was nice - not much choice at breakfast and all cold - overall was nice journey and we arrived early - however you go to new docks outside of town and no buses to meet ship !! Not well organised at either docks ...
