This mountainous island is the northernmost of the Cyclades and the second largest settlement in the islands after Naxos. In the town square, which is paved with marble, you will find a wide range of museums that are incredibly interesting. Four of them include the Archaeological, Modern Art, Nautical and Folklore Museums, which will show you all different aspects of the history of Andros. Make sure you see the Sariza spring too in the town.

Other things that attract visitors to the island are its beaches, which are second-to-none and perfect for windsurfing, and its mountainous backdrop, which you can hike up and find the stunning waterfalls of Remata, where it may be possible to cool off after a hot day's walking, if you so wish.
