Bonifacio's ferry port is located a short drive from the centre of Bonifacio town and is clearly signposted from all major routes. The port has a wide range of facilities designed with the traveller in mind.

The town is a popular tourist destination, especially amongst the French, thanks in part to the idyllic beaches in the surrounding area, some of the best on Corsica. The narrow streets and diverse range of activities available, from shopping in exclusive boutiques to bungee jumping and windsurfing, bring scores of holidaymakers each year, all looking for their place in the sun. Bonifacio is separated from Sardinia by just a 7 mile stretch of sea, the shimmering Strait of Bonifacio.

    Ferry to Nice, from Bastia
    • Luckily we had a cabin, it was a long trip. The staff was nice but a little understaffed. Lines long not many around to answer questions. Lots of dogs, maybe too many.

    Sardinia to Corsica
    • Unfortunately the ferry that I was supposed to take with Moby Lines broke down and they sent me an SMS and told me to call a certain telephone number. That number actually was not in use according to their office in Olbia and kept ringing and ringing and no one obviously answered. NOT GOOD. I did not give up, I drove up anyway to St Teresa and managed to get the other company to bring us over several HOURS later, but we made it over. Then there was so and so doubt if the Moby ferry would be fixed before the day that I was supposed to take it back from Corsica, so I did not take so so and maybe for an answer and made sure with the other company that they would take us to Sardinia if the Moby ferry would still be broken. The ferry was fixed and we made it over on schedule. Things can happen but I was constantly worried about not getting back correctly as planned and then possibly miss several flights going back to my country. Anyway, what can I say.
