Bornholmerfaergen
Bornholmerfaergen was founded in 1866 and originally named 'Dampskibsselskabet paa Bornholm af 1866 A/S'; locally it was often referred to simply as the '66' company. In 1973 Bornholmerfaergen became a Danish state operation, and in 2005 a state-owned limited company, always with the same goal of providing essential passenger, mail and freight links between Bornholm's community and business sector and Denmark and Sweden. Bornholmerfaergen is continuously developing its business and currently operates 4 ships, the H/F Villum Clausen, M/F Povlanker, M/S Hammerodde and M/S Dueodde.
