Located in northern Pembrokeshire in Wales, Fishguard is a coastal port town that connects the Principality to Ireland. The Fishguard ferry port is not located within the town's limits but is actually located approximately one mile up the road in the town of Goodwick. Fishguard is surrounded by a wide variety of colourful wild flowers, birds and beautiful scenery, and is therefore an ideal destination for those that enjoy wildlife and nature as well as picturesque and breathtaking views.

The surrounding area of the town offers many fabulous nature walks and hiking routes that allow visitors to take in the beautiful scenery of the Welsh coast. The town is also home to the Fishguard Tapestry which depicts the story of a force of French soliders that landed near Fishguard during the last invasion of England up until their surrender to the English in Fishguard a few days later.

    Exceeded my expectations
    • I had never travelled on Stena as my partner prefers Irish Ferries but I rather liked the times of Stena and saw a special low price, so with some trepidation I booked the crossing. I was thrilled with everything apart from the 1 hour delay which impacted at the other end in UK as I had a long drive and wanted to get home as early as possible. The staff were friendly and helpful and the TV lounge-Barista cafe were comfortable. I later took a nap in a lounge area which was alos clean and comfortable. I shall definitely choose Stena the next time I need to cross.

    Overall, very impressed.
    • Loading and unloading of cars was quick and professional. A female onboard staff member, working the sandwich and coffee counter, was very sympathetic and helpful when my wife felt seasick on what was a fairly rough crossing. Pricing seemed high but at least the vessel and the overall experience were positive.
