Folkestone Information

Folkestone is located in south-eastern England on the south coast of Kent. Folkestone is a resort town with sandy beaches, a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful charming gardens. Within the town visitors can find many enjoyable pastimes to indulge in, for instance those interested in water sports can try windsurfing, sailing and fishing, while those visitors interested in staying on land can go bowling, or take in a round of golf. Visitors can also use their time in Folkestone to take in the amazing countryside that surrounds the town, by following one of its picturesque cycle routes.

Calais Information

Probably the most famous of French ferry destinations, Calais has been for decades synonymous with holidays in Europe. Calais ferry port is one of the busiest ports in Europe with up to 48 ferries a day departing from here on one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world. Eurostar trains depart from Calais Frethun station which is close to the Eurotunnel terminal, just outside Calais off junction 42 of the A16.

The town of Calais is the closest French town to Britain and this makes it a popular ferry port for British tourists heading to France and vice versa. The town is rich in cultural heritage and has a wide variety of traditional French shops and restaurants. The location of Calais ferry port is ideally situated; just a stone's throw from Calais town centre so you don't have to waste a moment of your time.

    Simple and straight forward
    • You arrive, you park in required lane, you follow basic instructions, you enter train, train moves, 35 mins later you are in France (or other way round), you get off train and continue on your journey. Et Walla
