Car + 4Travel: Thursday, 22 July 2021 - Thursday, 12 August 2021from: £765
Harwich Information
Harwich is located in Essex on the south east coast of England, and is among the group of ports known as the Haven that are located on the North Sea coast. Harwich is situated in the Tendering district with famous places such as Ipswich and Colchester nearby. Harwich's position on the estuaries of the Orwell and Stour rivers, and its usefulness as the only safe anchorage between the Thames and Humber rivers mean that the town has had a long history of maritime significance, for both civil and military shipping.
In 1657 Harwich port was converted to a naval base and became heavily fortified, with the Harwich Redoubt and Beacon Hill Battery, the Redoubt still remains today and is open for visitors to explore. Along with this, the old part of the town which is now a conservation area with a number of historical buildings is well worth a visit whilst in Harwich.
Hook of Holland Information
The Hook of Holland ferry port is situated near Hoek van Holland Haven Station and is easy to access by following the A20/N20 coming from Rotterdam.
The Hook of Holland is located on the North Sea coast and north bank of the Nieuwe Waterweg ship canal. The Hook of Holland is considered as a Rotterdam district and offers easy access to this cultural city as well as Amsterdam. Whilst these famous cities might be considered the main reason to visit the Hook of Holland, the town itself is home to some fabulous beaches and a relaxing atmosphere.

For a return price of £129 I cannot complain! The outward bound food was very good,if a bit pricey. The return not so clever.Personally I found the outward security checks a bit ott but it was done in a light hearted manner. It did get a bit boring!
