Puttgarden ferry port is a harbour on the German island of Fehmarn, lying in close proximity to Denmark.
Puttgarden was a purpose built train ferry terminal in 1961 to link Denmark and Germany. Since the completion of the bridge "Great Belt Fixed Link", Puttgarden has seen a slight decline in traffic, however, Puttgarden harbour remains a very practical link between Germany and Denmark since Scandlines offers a frequent service with four ferries giving one connection every 30 minutes 24 hours a day.
