Roscoff Routes

The charming port of Roscoff is found on the northern coast of Brittany, and is ideally located for exploring this beautiful region. It is also the ideal port for exploring France's Atlantic coast, Western Loire and the Dordogne. The Roscoff ferry port is located just outside of town and is accessed via the D58 coming from Plouesat and Morlaix. The terminal is signposted from this road.

Situated near the Western tip of Brittany, Roscoff provides an ideal destination for travellers heading for Brittany who prefer sailing in luxury to a long drive. Brittany Ferries operate a regular ferry crossing service to Roscoff with sailings from Plymouth every day. Roscoff still retains plenty of small town charm, with typical Breton houses clustered around the old fishing port, and several bars and restaurants.

    Overall a very good trip
    • Great crossing both ways with the exception of a delay of about an hour on the outbound trip which meant that we got on board at about 9.30pm and had a drink at the bar prior to eating. However on enquiry about closing times for the restaurant and self service cafe we were told that we had 10 minutes to get there!! I have to say that I was expecting to be able to eat during the crossing and it would have been helpful if the service was slightly extended in order to allow for the delay and people time to get on board, settle in to their cabins and then eat. We just made it in time but many turned up in order to find the self service cafe closed and I guess they just went hungry. No announcement was made which too would have helped. The journey back was fine as it was a day crossing and food available throughout the trip.

    Very good service
    • Very happy with the service we received. It is the first time that my family and I have used a ferry and we were very impressed with how quick and easy the service was, From booking to checking in. The ferry was good too, although entertainment for the children was minimal. I will be more prepared next time with a few toys etc.

    D Day Visit
    • First time I have used this service and overall pretty happy with all round trip. Return was a little rough and thought there could have been more updates from staff etc, but overall had a reasonable trip. Ferrysavers are very helpful and accommodating even when I changed my timings, so big well done to them.

    Why pay more
    • Saved about 40 percent compared with booking direct. Last minute is the way to go if you are flexible. Also do not book a return cabin just pay the £21 when they sell them off cheap when you board.
