Stromboli ferry port is situated on a small island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, off the north coast of Sicily. Stromboli ferry port offers direct services to Italy. Stromboli is part of the volcanic archipelago of the Aerolian Islands, and Stromboli's active volcano is often visible from many points on the island and from the surrounding sea giving Stromboli's nickname: the "Lighthouse of the Mediterranean".
The main attraction in Stromboli is, of course, the volcano which can be seen erupting "up close and personal" yet in relative safety most of the time. The villages on Stromboli island have been thankfully unchanged by tourism and are worth a visit, especially Ginostra with the smallest port in Europe (one boat only!). Stromboli also offers a beautiful beach with fine black lava sand where visitors can relax and swim.
