Stromness is the second largest of the Orkney towns, part of the Inner Hebrides. Stromness is located in the south western area of the Orkney mainland. The Stromness ferry port is located on the south coast of the mainland and acts as the main entrance point to the Orkney Islands.

Check in was fine but travelling with a dog really restricts you to the sun deck or leaving the dog in the car. However, weather was dry and views were good. Ferry was fine and quick to load car and exit. It was a good crossing.
