Viking Line was established in 1963 under the name Ålandsfärjan Abthat, part of the Viking Line consortium before taking full control of the brand and adopting its name in 1995. Viking Line is the market-leading ferry and cruise line in the Baltic, and has a fleet of seven large combined cruis-ferries sailing to Finland, the Åland Islands, Sweden and Estonia.

Viking Line offers luxury and glamour at affordable prices, with some of the best entertainment on the Baltic and a wide variety of facilities including spacious lounges, bars, saunas, swimming pools and a number of spa options. The food onboard is excellent, with a la carte restaurants, the Scandinavian Buffet (which is a longstanding tradition) and cafés, as well as American-Italian and tapas option on many ships.
