Situated on the west side of the Mediterranean Sea, this city is primarily known as being the capital city and the largest city in Algeria, northern Africa. Nicknamed `Algiers la Blanche' (`Algiers the white') because of its stunning white houses that seem to be rising from the edge of the city's shore, Algiers was named the Arab Capital of Culture in 2007, and you can certainly see why - Algiers is a perfect mixture of cosmopolitan shopping (Africa's biggest shopping mall is situated here), incredible beach resorts and the magnificent old town, built upon the hills almost 128m above the azure seas, and home to the Casbah.

Interesting sights in and around the city are the Notre Dame d'Afrique basilica in the north of the city and the Jardin d'Essai to the east of Algiers; huge public gardens that span 198 acres of the city and are full of exotic wildlife and beautiful plants and trees. About 12 miles out of town are the pretty seaside towns of Sidi Fredj and Zeralda.

    We loved it.

    • The only thing I didn't like was the communication between the one on the speaker and the travellers . It was almost perfect if they found the way to organize the travellers with the cars and others. Anyway, THANK you for your efforts.

    Needs upgrades

    • Bathrooms need a huuuuge upgrade No soap No locks No tissue Unclean Wet floors (unsafe) No cleaning staff

    My experience

    • The ferry was delayed for over 24hours which caused a chaos as I had to stay in hotel and park my car for the over night parking and had to get another ferry crossing from Calais to Dover. It was my first time using your company. Thought I would let you know thank you for asking how my experience was. Mr Senouci.
