Buquebus Espana operate a number of fast ferries and catamarans between southern Spain and Morocco, with routes to Tangier (Tanger), Nador and the Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla. The operator was established in 1997 by the Uruaguan operator Buquebús, and became a subsidiary of Balearia in 2007. Buquebús España has become an established an important part of the transport network between Spain and northern Africa.
