Ventotene ferry port is located on the small island of the same name in the Tyrrhenian Sea, off the coast of Campania, Italy. Ventotene island itself is a volcanic island and forms part of the Pontine Islands.
Ventotene port has retained some of the ancient Roman structure as well as some ruins of the villas and aqueducts. Today, Ventotene has been expanded in order to handle more visitors. Pizza restaurants and scuba diving shops line the harbour, visitors can walk to the town centre on the Piazza Castello lined with restaurants and cafes. Ventotene offers three main beaches, Cala Nave being the most popular with black volcanic sand and rock outcroppings.
