LANE (Lasiotiki Anonimi Naftiliaki Etaria) Sea Lines
LANE (Lasiotiki Anonimi Naftiliaki Etaria) Sea Lines was established in 1994 by the population of the Lasithi region of Crete to compete with the established operators in the west of the island. In 1999 ANEK Lines purchased 50% of the Cretan company in exchange for the ferry f/b Ierapetra L. Originally LANE Sea Lines connected the main towns of Lassithi prefecture, Agios Nikolaos and Sitia, to Piraeus, but has expanded greatly, including to many of the routes formally operated by Anen.
Operating 2 ferries, the f/b Ierapetra L and f/b Vitsentzos Kornaros LANE's goal is to provide the smoothest and safest of journeys with a friendly crew eager to help. Onboard the ferries you'll find many comfortable facilities including the chance to dine at the a la carte and self-service restaurants, a bar and café, a mini-market, a tourist information desk with handy information, cabins and seating accommodation, and even a bar on the open deck where you can enjoy a drink in the Greek sun as you travel.
